Summertime offers many opportunities to involve children in activities to help improve fine and gross motor skills. With school out this week, I thought it would be a great time to share some links to summer activities that are both fun and beneficial.

KidsMama OT shares 10 Awesome Summer Activities for Kids that will keep them “moving, exploring, developing, and having fun all summer long.”

Tools to Grow offers a FREE Activity-a-Day Summer Calendar. Each day targets a different area (e.g., fine motor, sensory fun, gross motor, handwriting) to complete throughout the months of July and August.

Bright Hub Education provides occupational therapy summer activity ideas to help develop strength, body awareness, coordination and dexterity.
