Creative Speech Solutions is looking to fill the following positions immediately:

Speech Language Pathologist – School and Private Practice based – FULL TIME

Creative Speech Solutions, LLC (a pediatric therapy center with offices located in Summit and Montclair, NJ) is hiring a full-time experienced speech-language pathologist to join our growing team.  

Speech-language pathologists at Creative Speech Solutions (CSS) specialize in treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses and level of functioning.  The duties of this position include providing evaluations and direct therapy for the pediatric population in school-based settings and in our private medically-based setting during the week.  In addition to direct treatment, responsibilities could also include coding for insurance billing purposes, report writing and treatment collaboration. School based therapy would involve case management, IEP development and adherence to all NJ state special education laws.

Candidates interested in this SLP role at CSS are required to have the following:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited speech therapy program
  • NJ State License, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), NJ School Certificate (SLS) and Criminal History Review (CHR-which includes fingerprinting with the state of NJ)
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting
  • Experience provide therapeutic services for children with delays or disorders in the areas of: phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, sight word recognition, vocabulary development, morphology, comprehension, expressive written language skills in the areas of syntax, sentence and paragraph development and expansion for all grade levels.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during the day and some evenings.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
  • Patience, persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team

Experience with using any of the following programs is a plus!  

  • Certification or continuing education in PROMPT, SOS Feeding, fluency and literacy are a plus.

Creative Speech Solutions is hiring a part time, (SATURDAY HOURS) experienced speech-language pathologist to join our growing team.  

Speech-language pathologists at Creative Speech Solutions (CSS) specialize in treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses and level of functioning.  The duties of this position include providing evaluations and direct therapy for the pediatric population in our private practice in a medically-based setting on Saturdays. 

In addition to direct treatment, responsibilities could also include coding for insurance billing purposes, report writing and treatment collaboration. 

Candidates interested in this SLP role at CSS are required to have the following:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited speech therapy program
  • NJ State License, Certificate of Clinical Competence and NJ School Certificate (SLS)
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting

Occupational Therapist OT or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant COTA Opening – IMMEDIATE

Creative Speech Solutions, LLC (a pediatric therapy center located in Summit, NJ) is hiring a part-timeexperienced school based Occupational therapist or COTA to work with moderately impaired students within the autistic population (high school aged) in the Passaic County New Jersey area 2-3 days/week (Monday and then one other day of choice) for the 2021-2022 school year.

Occupational therapists  at Creative Speech Solutions (CSS) specialize in treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses and level of functioning.  The duties of this position include providing evaluations and direct therapy for the pediatric population in a school-based setting.  Treatment involves one-on-one/group sessions with children. The most common diagnoses treated are Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Apraxia, cerebral palsy, Global Developmental Delay, and Sensory Processing Disorder.

In addition to direct treatment, responsibilities could also include writing daily notes, progress notes, evaluations, report writing, treatment collaboration, case management, IEP development and adherence to all NJ state special education laws. Additional job description includes creating home exercise programs, counseling caretakers, and collaborating with speech therapists, school therapists, and teachers.

Candidates interested in this OT role at CSS are required to have the following:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program or COTA
  • Satisfactory completion of Certification Examination of National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists. Maintenance of registration required
  • NJ State License and NJ School Certificate
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting
  • Candidates should be experienced in treating sensory processing disorders, motor planning difficulties, decreased strength, and gross motor skills, as well as visual motor and fine motor skills.
  • Certification or continuing education in The Listening Program, Handwriting  Without Tears, Visual Processing disorders, splints.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and a strong desire to work with children with developmental disabilities
  • Patience, persistence and ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Occupational Therapists at Creative Speech Solutions (CSS) specialize in treating children with a wide variety of diagnoses and functioning levels. Position duties include providing direct therapy and evaluations for the pediatric population in a private medically based setting and/or as well as school based setting.

Job description involves one-on-one treatment sessions with children ages 2-12 in a state-of-the-art facility. The most common diagnoses treated are Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Apraxia, Global Developmental Delay, and Sensory Processing Disorder. Additional job description includes writing daily notes and progress reports, updating goals, creating home exercise programs, counseling caretakers, and collaborating with speech therapists, school therapists, and teachers. Candidates should be experienced treating sensory processing disorders, motor planning difficulties, decreased strength, and gross motor skills, as well as visual motor and fine motor skills. Experience with Handwriting Without Tears is encouraged.

In addition to direct treatment, responsibilities could also include report writing, parent meetings, in-service presentations to parents, teachers or pre-schools, parent meetings-coordination or training. If school placement is an needed; case management, IEP development and adherence to all NJ state special education laws will be necessary.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice and/or school setting.
