Molly Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP

Molly received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2001 and her Master of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Arizona in 2003.

Following graduate school, Molly worked in public, private and charter schools, as well as in private practice and early intervention in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She provided screenings/evaluations and therapeutic services to children aged birth to 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disabilities, as well as with children with fluency, voice, language and articulation disorders. In addition, she participated in IEP development and implementation and consulted with teachers, occupational therapists, physical therapists and behavior specialists. During this time, she supervised Clinical Fellows and acted as a speech therapy coordinator in a large urban school district in New Jersey.

Molly began working at Creative Speech Solutions, LLC in September 2013, where she provides individual speech-language and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) therapy to school-aged children.

Molly is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey. She also maintains certification by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech-Language Specialist. She is a member of the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association (NJSHA) and is a member of their AAC committee.

Molly has been trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) Level 1 & 2, SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) for children with ASD. She has taken other continuing education courses on topics such as functional language evaluation, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT), and evaluation and treatment of childhood apraxia of speech and pediatric/school-age feeding and swallowing disorders. Completed NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment) Training. Also completed (BCBA-Board Certified Behavior Analyst) coursework at Penn State University in August 2014 and is working toward certification.

Molly resides in New Providence, NJ with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending her time playing with her girls, reading, and practicing Pilates.
