Megan Pagano, M.A., CCC-SLP
Megan received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University and her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University.
Megan has experience in both rehabilitative inpatient settings and educational settings. Following graduate school, Megan worked at New Community Extended Care Facility, a sub-acute setting in Newark, New Jersey. Here she gained experience in diagnosing and treating adults with aphasia, dysphagia, apraxia, cognitive deficits, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and the modification of accents. She also has experience in evaluating, diagnosing and treating preschool to high school aged children with oral motor and feeding difficulties, hearing impairments, articulation disorders, autism, verbal apraxia, auditory processing disorders, and language disorders. In the school system, Megan has been a member of the child study teams, participated in IEP meetings and collaborated with teachers.
Megan is trained in the SOS (sequential oral sensory) approach to address feeding difficulties with children. In addition, she has attended conferences addressing various oral motor and articulation difficulties.
She is licensed by the State of New Jersey and certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Also, she holds a certificate from the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech-Language Specialist.
Megan is passionate about her career. She loves working with children and being able to make a difference in their lives as well as the lives of their family.
