Samantha Orchowitz, MS CCC-SLP
Samantha received Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences, and Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and her Master’s Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. Samantha has previously been employed as an Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in the birth to three populations, and at a pediatric private practice. Throughout her career, Samantha has worked in various settings, including outpatient therapy, daycares, schools, and homes. Samantha has experience in prelinguistic development, expressive and receptive language, speech sound disorders, social-emotional skills, feeding and swallowing, and autism spectrum disorders. To ensure that a child’s needs are being met, Samantha loves to collaborate with other professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavioral therapists, and teachers. Samantha utilizes a play-based therapy approach to address children’s speech, language, and feeding goals.
Samantha is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey as a speech-language pathologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and she is certified by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech Language Specialist (SLS). Samantha is trained in Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT), and SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding. Samantha loves working with children and makes therapy sessions fun, high-energy, and motivating. In her spare time, Samantha’s other interests include reading, hiking, and baking.
