Kristin Ellingsen , M.S., OTR/L
Kristin received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University. She has worked with children of all ages in multiple settings, including public school (PreK-6th grade), Early Intervention, and a private sensory gym. She has experience developing and implementing treatment plans for individual and group sessions to improve fine and gross motor skills, visual motor and perceptual abilities, sensory awareness and self-care skills. She has extensive experience implementing the 3:1 model of service where she has collaborated with other professionals and parents to improve carryover in the natural environment to improve patient outcomes. Kristen is also co-founder of @everydaybabyplay, a social media collaboration (Instagram) with a speech language pathologist and audiologist that provides play activities and tips to promote developmental play.
Kristin has taken numerous continuing education courses over the years to further her skills including, Sensory Defensiveness: A Comprehensive Treatment Approach (with Patricia Wilbarger), Handwriting Without Tears® and The Zones of Regulation®.
Kristin resides in NY with her husband and 2 children; She loves spending time with her family, PLAYING, traveling, and being outside.
