Kimberly Lindland , M.A., OTR/L
Kim received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts in Health Fitness with a concentration in Psychology in 1991. After working as an Exercise Physiologist in the corporate setting and as a personal trainer in New York and New Jersey for several years, she realized that her education was not complete. While working full time, she took classes necessary for graduate school admission in Occupational Therapy. She earned her Master of Art Degree from NYU which was where she resided until moving back to New Jersey in 2003. Since 2000, she has had an opportunity to work with children and adults in a wide variety of settings, individually and in groups, in New York and New Jersey. She has worked in early intervention, public schools, private schools, hospitals, subacute and long term care facilities as well as homecare. With more than 22 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, she has found pediatrics to be her true passion. She has continued growing professionally by attending courses on Yoga, Sensory Processing, Sensory Diets, ADHD, Handwriting, and feeding.
Kim has worked with children in the home and in schools with a variety of diagnoses including ADHD, SID, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, ODD, ASD, learning disabilities, psychiatric, and genetic disorders. She particularly enjoys collaborating with parents, teachers and colleagues to ensure carry over and understanding of established goals.
Kim resides in Fanwood and has teenage children, Jax and Zoe. In addition to working, she enjoys her family, exercising, gardening, cooking and spending time at the beach.
