Brenda Waldner, MS CCC-SLP

Brenda Waldner, has been working in the field since June 2013. Brenda received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University at Buffalo and her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Molloy College in Long Island, NY.

Brenda joined the Creative Speech Solutions, LLC team in September 2023. Before working at Creative Speech Solutions, Brenda worked at the the Cooke School for the past five years, a non-profit special education school that serves students K-21. Brenda provided collaborative and integrated classes to a group of 12 students, including Social Skills, focusing on conversation skills, whole body listening, turn taking, emerging play skills. Life Skills, focusing on comprehending and demonstrating ADL’s used in the school setting and in the home setting (washing hands, unpacking, cooking). Fun with Food, exposing children with sensory needs and “picky eating” to foods through exploration and using their five senses. She successfully implemented lesson plans to address articulation, expressive language, fluency, feeding, and pragmatic language skills to students with Autism, Genetic Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Language Delay. Additionally, Brenda worked at CPSE preschools, and conducted early intervention therapy in the home based setting.

Brenda is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the State of New Jersey and New York. She also maintains certification by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech-Language Specialist. Brenda has received her level 1 training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (Apraxia), Talk-Tools Sensory-Centered Feeding, as well as training in high tech Augmentative Communication Devices.

Brenda enjoys watching the joy on her childrens and parents’ faces when they can communicate their wants and needs for the first time. In her spare time she enjoys riding on her peloton, and spending time with her daughter, and teddybear goldendoodle.
