Alyssa Cauceglia, A.A.S., COTA
Alyssa received her degree in Applied Science/OTA from Eastwick College. She has treated children in multiple pediatric settings including clinical, home, and school environments.
Alyssa has experience treating children with a variety of disabilities with a focus on autistic spectrum disorders. She has utilized Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), a family-based, behavioral treatment for children with autism that focuses on building social and emotional skills. She enjoys consulting and collaborating with families and assisting with the development of home programs for children with autism utilizing this approach. Alyssa has worked in conjunction with occupational therapists to develop a present level of function and individualized educational plan (IEP) with goals and objectives for preschool through 8th grade students. She has completed continuing education courses in visual processing therapy and Handwriting Without Tears. Alyssa is qualified to help individuals with sensory processing disorders, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and acquired brain Injury.
Prior to becoming a COTA, Alyssa worked at a privately owned studio as a Certified Personal Trainer/Health Consultant. She has a passion for helping both children and adults work through everyday challenges in order to assist them with achieving their highest potential. When Alyssa is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the gym, and playing with her dog, Athena.
